Last week, Snappt stole the show at NAA Apartmentalize in Philadelphia ✨ The week kicked off with our biannual Customer Advisory Board meeting, where we discussed current market trends and received valuable feedback from our clients, including Brookfield Properties, Bozzuto Management, Northwood Ravin, Pearlmark, and several other top operators. On Thursday morning, Snappt took the next step in the evolution of its product journey, launching our new Applicant Fraud Detection and Income Verification Suite. This fall, users will be able to access automated income calculation and connected payroll powered by Argyle, which will provide increased functionality and streamline the verification process for property managers. We met with key partners throughout the event, including Entrata, ResMan Property Management Software, and Yardi. We had nearly 100 client interactions with groups such as Greystar, Asset Living, Tides Equities, Trilogy Real Estate Group, and many more. Finally, in the spirit of “work hard, play hard,” the Snappt team attended the Ja Rule concert on Thursday night, hosted by Genesis and Bend. We had a blast meeting everyone and can’t wait for an even bigger and better Apartmentalize in 2025 in Las Vegas! 🎉

What is Income Verification? 💡 Verifying income is a crucial step in the leasing process to ensure the applicant can afford the monthly rent. Thanks to digital technologies, the income verification process is easier than ever for applicants and property managers. Here are the most common methods used to verify income: ✔️ Automatic income calculation is an easy-to-use technology that swiftly and precisely sums up amounts from applicants’ documents. ✔️ Bank linking, also called open banking, allows property managers to confirm the applicant’s financial standing in real time. A step is added to the application process, allowing applicants to easily connect their bank accounts. ✔️ Payroll linking, or connected payroll, enables applicants to directly link their payroll provider to their application. ✔️ Document fraud detection reads into the metadata of an income document to ensure it hasn’t been manipulated. Fraud detection is essential to confirm the authenticity of applicant documents – if the document isn’t legitimate, verifying the income won’t matter.
