When a call for service requires searching, drones are deployed to quickly gain an aerial perspective to assist in locating people. In support of Exercise Swift Response 24, United States Air Force Airmen from the 435th Contingency Response Element deployed Skydio’s docked-drone technology for base security and aerial surveillance at Kecskemet Air Base, Hungary. 🇭🇺 An X2 drone was piloted remotely, autonomously launched and recovered with Skydio Dock – executing 30+ missions in just 4 days. ✅ This supported the 435th Contingency Response Element’s air base ground defense mission by providing on-demand aerial intelligence, demonstrating that having a remotely operated drone, ready to launch at a moment's notice, is a true asymmetric advantage. 🌟 Swift Response 24 is a dynamic US Army Europe & Africa-led exercise focused on Allied airborne forces’ ability to quickly and effectively respond to crises as an interoperable, multi-national team. 🤝 During this exercise, the 435th CRE was tasked with deploying over 100 airmen to establish a base camp in a simulated Dynamic-Security Environment. 🪂 Exercise Swift Response is also part of Steadfast Defender 24. Steadfast Defender is NATO’s largest military exercise since the Cold War, which involves ~90,000 troops from all 32 #NATO nations. #WeAreNATO
