As part of the Truckee Tahoe Building Decarbonization Pilot Program, SBC hosted a contractor in-person class on July 17th. The training was focused on providing local contractors with the skills to install heat pumps for space heating and cooling and water heaters in snowy winter climates. The class was lead by experienced contractor and trainer, Dan Perunko of Balance Point Home Performance and attended by 11 contractors. Huge thank you to Liberty Utilities for hosting our training! For those who were unable to attend the in person training, we also offer 10 on-demand trainings available online. To access the online trainings or if you would like to learn more about the program please email cta@sierrabusiness.org.

We need your help! In order for future broadband funding to go where it is needed most, we want members of the public to let us know whether the current broadband map accurately depicts your home or business. Does the map show internet service is available where you know it isn’t? If you have service, does the map accurately show the internet speeds you are experiencing in your community? Your participation will help make sure your area is eligible for future grant funding through the CPUC's Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program (BEAD) program. Follow this link to provide your input between now and Aug. 6: https://lnkd.in/gDMhzZhD
