Her husband Andy and she were raising our three boys while trying to keep up with busy professional lives, and failing at finding healthier, tasty family meal options that fit in between business calls, soccer games and carpools. Margarita grew up in Colombia playing in her father’s kitchen. He owned a restaurant that featured typical Colombian food like Bandeja Paisa, Sancocho, Arroz con Pollo, Arepas and of course EMPANADAS! She learned from a young age, food isn’t just fuel for the body but a chance to taste life. Andy is a native Virginian, and a true foodie with a passion for both the art and the science of cooking. By combining my Latin food roots, Andy’s passion for modern American cuisine, and A LOT of testing, MASPANADAS was born, along with a simple mission: To make a positive impact on individuals, communities, and the planet, fostering well-being and inspiring change, through our actions, products, and services.
