The Shippensburg Downtown Coordinator would be one of the public faces of the Shippensburg Community. They will promote downtown activities, provide educational opportunities to businesses, serve as a listener, liaison collaborator, visionary, and facilitator with the purpose of building a better Shippensburg. This is professional level work, strengthening and promoting the vitality and appearance of the business districts. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating projects; program activities; volunteer recruitment and coordination; and economic revitalization efforts to promote economic development and grant procurement. Works closely with key stakeholders to set an economic development agenda. This individual is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive, who coordinates all project activities and provides staff support for business associations and community development opportunities.
