They're powerhouse changemakers who have dedicated themselves to the urban Native community. The awardees are: 🌟 Bob Ferguson 🌟 Red Eagle Soaring (RES) Native Youth Theatre 🌟 Nick D. Lewis (Lummi) As the state’s chief legal officer, Ferguson is committed to protecting our community against powerful interests that don’t play by the rules. The Red Eagle Soaring Native Youth Theatre empowers American Indian and Alaska Native youth to express themselves through traditional and contemporary performing arts. Lewis chairs the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board, and serves on the Lummi Nation Tribe Business Council, just to name a couple of Lewis' many contributions to our community.
