Thank you to everyone who attended SEACORP's first Save The Bay Event on May 18th. We were able to eliminate 368 pounds of waste, all from one area of Gull Cove in Portsmouth, RI.   Jessi, who previously worked for Save The Bay, mentioned that she will always support the organization's efforts to protect and improve the bay. Having interacted firsthand with the animals of Narragansett Bay, she has developed a strong connection to the environment, which motivates her to help and protect them even more.   Kevin, who served in the Navy for 23 years, shared that during his time in the service he had the opportunity to witness and walk on some of the most beautiful beaches around the world, furthering his motivation to co-lead the event. As a Master Chief SONAR Technician, he felt lucky to have had the opportunity to listen to a variety of marine mammals and wildlife and came to love their songs and chatter. Kevin emphasizes the importance of keeping the world clean for his daughters and the younger generations – and takes every opportunity to give back to this planet.    Shoutout to Kevin Zachow and Jessi Sullivan for organizing this event!

SEACORP was honored and humbled to host former Secretary of the Navy and Ambassador to the Netherlands and the European Union, J William Middendorf, at its Research Facility in Middletown, RI. Secretary Middendorf championed the development of so many submarine, surface and aviation platforms critical to our country’s defense and was on hand to watch the test firing of torpedoes from the very same launcher that will be installed on the J William Middendorf (DDG-138), a future Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer named in his honor. Pictured with Secretary Middendorf is SEACORP's CEO, Roy Kapani and President, Dave Cadorette.
