What a great evening at the 73rd REI ( Retailer Excellence Awards hosted by Gift and Decorative Accessories) in Dallas. Congratulations to all the finalists. What a resilient, creative, friendly and inspired industry. Below ( left to right) is me (Robin Kert - President SE Marketplace) our fabulous Shilpa Hill ( winner of Top Rep Southeast Region ) and Wes Hardin ( President of Diverse Companies) a 60 year old rep agency that a year and a half ago purchased SE Marketplace. It has been a joy to become part of the Diverse family of companies. Everyone wants to know "how is this new affiliation working?" It has been seamless; expanding our capacity, and provinding a fabulous sounding board for growth and learning. We are better together. Last night was a celebration of the power of retailers, reps, and vendors to work together and deliver a great consumer experience. SE Marketplace is proud to be part of this amazing chain of interconnected businesses known as the Gift And Decorative Accessories industry. So glad I went on that blind date that catapulted me into this industry, in December 1981!
