In recognition of Pride Month, the OFF & Proud Associate Resource Group hosted exciting activations that brought our teams together to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ associates. We kicked off the month with our Brookfield Place celebration, where attendees were treated to light refreshments, games and a drag performance by local artist Jacklynn Hyde. In collaboration with The Phluid Project, associates were also invited to attend an engaging conversation with Iman Hill, Milan Garcon and Cory Wade. Moderated by OFF & Proud member Francisco Jr Ovalle, teams heard directly from members of the LGBTQIA+ community about their lived experiences and how they embrace fashion as a way to share their stories with the world. At Saks OFF 5TH, we welcome creativity and embrace individuality, and think that fashion is the ultimate form of self-expression. Pride symbolizes freedom and equality, aligning with our dedication to fostering an inclusive world where everyone feels supported and empowered to be their authentic selves. At Saks OFF 5TH, we unite to honor Juneteenth. We recognize the significant historic importance of this day for Black Americans and celebrate the progress that has been made. We also acknowledge there is much more work to be done to ensure an equitable future for everyone. Saks OFF 5TH is committed to building a culture and community where every associate and customer alike can be their authentic self, where individuality is celebrated and our differences make us stronger. The Multicultural Inclusive Networking Community (M.I.N.C.) Associate Resource Group hosted an engaging two-part event last week to commemorate Juneteenth. Associates attended a special panel discussion with representatives from local Black-owned brands ADW, Ane Clothier, Aya Paper Company and BrownMill Atelier. The panelists shared inspiring stories of how they launched their businesses and overcame both personal and professional obstacles to achieve their own unique visions of success. Following the discussion, Brookfield-based associates attended a Juneteenth Mixer to enjoy food, drinks and games and to shop the panelists’ brand collections. The Saks OFF 5TH Associate Spotlight series highlights incredible individuals across our talented teams who have been nominated for going above and beyond for our business - from exemplifying our values and serving as a role model to their team, to leading a project, providing excellent customer service and more. This month, we're highlighting Tina Taylor, National Manager, Store Merchandising, who joined Saks OFF 5TH in 2021. Tina recently shared her favorite thing about being a part of the Saks OFF 5TH team: “Through collaboration and learning from my team, I have been able to grow professionally. In recognition of Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the South Asians OFF 5TH Associate Resource Group hosted exciting activations for our team. First, Fei Wang joined the ARG leadership team for an insightful discussion, where Fei shared insights into his personal and professional journey as a member of the AANHPI community and discussed how he celebrates his culture and identity. Associates were also invited to attend a “Cuisine & Culture” event, where attendees celebrated the rich culinary tapestry of the AANHPI community by sampling traditional foods and flavors. Thank you to Fei and the South Asians OFF 5TH leadership for hosting these impactful events to help inform, engage and inspire our team. We look forward to continuing to celebrate our AANHPI associates, customers and partners throughout this month and beyond!

To celebrate the upcoming summer season, Saks OFF 5TH hosted a press event at our 57th Street store to highlight our latest campaign and showcase top summer picks across categories. From women’s, men’s and kid’s clothing to swimwear and warm-weather accessories, attendees got a glimpse of our robust seasonal assortment and our commitment to providing the best names in fashion at an incredible value - both throughout the season and all year long! Thank you to all who attended the event and brought the Summer Showcase to life.

Last week, Rob Brooks participated in the CEO panel at the Global Retail Marketing Association (GRMA) 2024 Growth & Innovation Forum! Rob took the stage alongside Charles Watson, CFE and Jacqueline Ardrey to discuss the current state of the retail industry and share insights into leading a business in the CEO role while delivering a compelling value proposition.

Saks OFF 5TH is honored to recognize May as Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. As we embark on the celebratory AANHPI Heritage Month, we have the incredible opportunity to recognize and honor the diverse histories, traditions and achievements of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. Today, and every day, Saks OFF 5TH appreciates the tremendous contributions made to America’s history and culture by those in the AANHPI community, especially from our AANHPI-identifying associates, partners and customers. In partnership with the South Asians OFF 5TH Associate Resource Group, Saks OFF 5TH will provide educational resources and host engaging events for associates to celebrate the rich tapestry of AANHPI heritage.

In recognition of Earth Month, our sustainability-focused Associate Resource Group, Sustainable OFFerings, hosted two exciting events to convene our associates and celebrate our planet. The festivities kicked off with an inspiring conversation with Julie Mastrarrigo, Managing Director of remake.world. Julie shared the importance of sustainable fashion concepts and offered practical advice and resources to help associates kick start their journey towards a more sustainable wardrobe and lifestyle. Associates were also invited to attend a planting party, where they created their own green masterpieces using a variety of flowers and herbs.
