Thank you to all our amazing members who joined us for Member Appreciation Night at the Lancaster Stormers this past Saturday! City Center YMCA's Associate Executive Director, Evan, kicked off the evening with a special address to the crowd and threw out a first pitch! Not to be outdone, City Center YMCA's Sports Coordinator and Personal Trainer, Ben, also took to the mound for a first pitch! A huge shout-out to our friends at Lancaster Stormers for making this event possible and for their warm hospitality throughout the night.

Celebrate Summer Learning Week with us! Stay tuned to our Facebook pages all week for tips and valuable insights on the significance of continuous learning! The pandemic's impact on youth has been startling, and the U.S. Surgeon General has raised a flag on young people’s mental health. The science of learning and development tells us that relationships are key for addressing trauma and helping kids thrive. Forging and fostering friendships over the summer can lead to limitless opportunities and cherished memories for young people. #SummerLearningWeek

We are proud of our York YMCA swim alum, Nathan Welker, who has transitioned into a standout swimmer at Wisconsin University and recently showcased their talent at the Olympic trials! The York YMCA swim team has been home to many elite swimmers all over the county for the past few years. With multiple alums coming back to train and compete in an elite environment under the director of coach John Nelson. "All the kids pretty much have the same idea of why they are coming here they are coming to be better at swimming people and teammates," said Nelson. "That shared vision is a key part of the success." https://lnkd.in/ewPYfcHF

Thank you to our friends at Barley Snyder for their participation and sponsorship of our Scott Kimmel Memorial Golf Outing last month. The support of this outing contributes to funding our mission work and programs, including Membership for All, Chronic Disease Management, and more.
Attorney Eric Ondo and his team participated in the YMCA of the Roses' Scott Kimmel Memorial Golf Outing last Monday at Bent Creek Country Club. Barley was a proud sponsor of this event that raised funds for the YMCA's work in Lancaster County in honor of the legacy of community champion, Scott Kimmel.
