  • Skyler McCauley has been making a positive impact at Rose View Nursing Facility for approximately 4.5 months, bringing her year-long experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to our team. She started her journey into healthcare because of her love for taking care of people. Skyler enjoys working at Rose View due to the teamwork and dedication of the staff, as well as the special bond she has formed with our residents. Every day, Skyler comes to work with a smile on her face and a positive attitude, no matter how tough her day might be. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends swimming and hiking, and cherishing moments with her niece and nephew. Skyler is adventurous, driving race cars and having taken the thrilling leap of skydiving. She also has the unique trait of being allergic to the cold. Skyler aspires to continue her nursing career and become a Labor and Delivery nurse one day. She draws her inspiration from her mother, who works hard and never gives up. If given the chance, Skyler would love to visit Greece to experience its beauty and culture. She encourages others to join Rose View, highlighting the welcoming environment and the wonderful group of people she works with. Known for going above and beyond for her coworkers, Skyler McCauley embodies the spirit of dedication, compassion, and teamwork that defines Rose View Nursing Facility. • Resident Spotlight: Mary Houtz Meet Mary Houtz, a beloved member of Rose View since March 2023. Mary was born in Williamsport, PA, but grew up in Montgomery, PA, where she graduated with the class of 1967 from Montgomery High School. After high school, she married Marlin Houtz and they enjoyed a wonderful 35 years of marriage. Mary dedicated most of her life to being a loving wife and stay-at-home mother to their three children, though one of her children tragically passed away 16 years ago. When her youngest child started 2nd grade, Mary embarked on her career. She worked as a school cook for the Montgomery School District for 10 years, then as a cook and café staff at Williamsport Hospital before it became UPMC. She concluded her working days with a 13-year stint at Sunoco of Allenwood. Through out the years Mary found joy in camping with family and friends and taking bus tours to places like Michigan, Kentucky, Ocean City, and Indiana. Above all, she cherishes the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, eagerly anticipating her great-grandson's high school graduation. Mary's current goal is to relax and stay healthy. Among her favorite things are homemade chicken pot pie, raspberry tea, and watermelon. She also enjoys cooking, crocheting, and sewing. Mary's smile lights up every room she enters. She is always warm and kind, and we are truly grateful to have her as part of our community. Mary's Wisdom: “Be true to yourself, make what you can out of life because you only get to live it once.”
