Established in 2015, the Root Cause Coalition is a non-profit, member-driven organization comprised of more than 60 leading health systems, hospital associations, foundations, businesses, national and community nonprofits, health insurers, academic institutions and policy centers. The Coalition works to achieve health equity through cross-sector collaboration in advocacy, education and research. In support of this mission, the Coalition seeks to uphold its four core values: Focusing on Community Change, Advancing Authentic Collaboration, Scaling Innovative Solutions, and Engaging and Learning from Communities.

We are pleased to announce that our Administrative Director, Leigh Maltby, will serve as Interim Executive Director following the retirement of TRCC's founding President, Barbara Petee. Leigh brings a wealth of experience to this role, having worked with the Transatlantic Business Dialogue in Brussels, Belgium, and furthering her expertise in public-private sector relations and nonprofit operations through her work with the U.S. Department of State, the State Government Affairs Council (SGAC), and at Smithbucklin, where her clients included the Bank Insurance and Securities Association and the Restoration Industry Association. Leigh is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is currently working towards earning her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation.
