A national network of students and alumni that supports emerging policymakers, researchers, and advocates.
About us
The Roosevelt Network trains, develops, and supports emerging progressive policymakers, researchers, and advocates across the US, focusing on communities historically denied political power. Built on the principle that changing who writes the rules can help fulfill the ideals of American democracy and build true public power, the Network provides fellowship and mentorship opportunities to college students and alumni. A program of the Roosevelt Institute, the network operates alongside leading economists and political scientists to bring the ideals of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt into the 21st century.

🚀 We kicked off our Roosevelt in Washington (RIW) fellowship with an incredible orientation weekend! Roosevelt Network staff and the 2024 RIW fellows gathered in Washington, DC where we explored the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and delved into the fellowship syllabus. From community norms to fun icebreakers, the camaraderie was instant. Our group debrief left many of us feeling thoughtful and reflective about our shared experience ahead. 🌟 The Network is excited to welcome Christiana Verdelus as our newest Chairperson of the Alumni Board of Advisors (ABA)! Christiana began her journey as a Roosevelter in 2020 as an undergraduate Forge Fellow while attending the University of Florida. We couldn't be more delighted that she has recently begun her tenure as the ABA Chairperson! 🚀 The ABA is a volunteer advisory board for the Roosevelt Network. It provides feedback and input to Network staff about programs and key strategic decisions. The ABA is a collection of individuals who bring unique perspectives to conversations and decision-making; together, the members should represent the diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives of Network alumni.
