  • This week, we continue to shine a spotlight on our inspirational teachers. Our featured highlight is Beth-Ann Reeves, a devoted math teacher at South Pointe High School.  Ms. Reeves' commitment to innovative teaching methods and her ability to inspire a love for math that extends beyond the classroom. She transforms traditional learning materials into organized note packets and practice pages tailored for each unit. Additionally, her knack for relating mathematical concepts to everyday scenarios captivates students, answering the age-old question of "How will I use this in the real world?" with enlightening examples that stick. If you're passionate about making a difference and want to join our team, we invite you to apply today at: https://lnkd.in/d-AiPkgt

  • Our Summer Reading Camp has come to an end with a celebration! Our reading Olympians finished strong and ended up achieving gold! Today, parents were invited to Sunset Park Center for Accelerated Studies for "closing ceremonies" so students could show off their work. We want to send a special shoutout to all our teachers who dedicated time to helping these students this summer. Our teachers brought fun to an educational journey, so our students felt eager to learn. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!

  • The first day of school is quickly approaching. Our students come back to school on August 8. While everyone anxiously awaits our return, we can get excited for the new year by shopping for school supplies. All school supply lists are available on our district website and your student's school's website. Please find all school lists here: https://lnkd.in/e7stUqF6 or by navigating to the district site and finding "School Supplies" under the Families tab.

  • This week has been a scorcher. If you've stepped outside, you've felt just how hot it's been. That doesn't mean the work stops for our Operations teams. They've been working extremely hard to prepare our schools for the first day back. So, we popped up with popsicles to thank them for their efforts in the heat! We are glad this small treat could help keep everyone cool for a bit.
