Rain is a good thing when it comes to our hydro-electric power plants. With the recent rain, Mill C and our other plants are producing more power for our customers.
About us
Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) was founded in 1848, and has been in the Rochester community ever since. Today RG&E serves approximately 388,737 electricity customers and 321,651 natural gas customers in a nine-county region centered on the City of Rochester. At RG&E, we've always been dedicated to the communities we serve, and strive daily to provide safe, reliable service to customers. That's why we provide more than electricity. We spearhead conservation efforts, encourage economic growth, assist area businesses and fund important charity organizations through established and often one-of-a-kind programs.
