Riverside Healthcare is comprised of five entities: Riverside Medical Center is located in Kankakee, IL and is part of Riverside Healthcare, a fully integrated healthcare system serving the needs of individuals and communities throughout the counties of Kankakee, Iroquois, Will, Grundy and beyond. As part of the system, Riverside Medical Center, a 312-bed hospital, provides a full scope of inpatient and outpatient care and is a nationally recognized, award-winning Level II Trauma hospital with nationally-leading programs in heart care, cancer care, neurosurgery and orthopedics. Its reputation for nursing excellence has made Riverside the area's only Magnet® Recognized hospital. Because Riverside's clinical performance ranks them among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide, Healthgrades has named them a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence Award, and Truven Health Analytics presented them with the 100 Top Hospitals® award. Riverside Senior Life Communities address the health care needs of the area’s senior population. The four facilities that are a part of Riverside Senior Living Center include: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Riverside Miller Rehabilitation, and Assisted Living & Memory Care at Bourbonnais. Riverside Healthcare Foundation raises funds for the health system for use in facility construction and repair, new equipment acquisition, community health care education initiatives and clinical research. Oakside Corporation operates the Riverside Health Fitness Center and also coordinates community counseling programs, pharmacy, health equipment sales and leasing and home health care. Congratulations to Cohort 7 of Riverside’s Young Professionals on their graduation! Riverside Young Professionals (RYP) is a voluntary group intended to provide up to 25 selected Riverside employees with exclusive and unique Riverside leadership development opportunities designed to provide a deep view of Riverside Healthcare, access to Riverside Senior Management, opportunities to network with other Riverside team members with similar interests, and participation in community service. This program met one evening per month, from January 2023 to June 2024.
