🌟 Exciting Day at Rinker Materials! 🌟 Recently, our interns had the learning opportunity to tour the Rinker Materials Concrete Pipe Plant in Wilson, NC. This experience provided them with valuable insights into the production processes, safety, quality control measures, and extensive engineering technology required by the DOT and State Regulations that go into creating top-quality concrete pipe products. From observing the raw material preparation to seeing the final products ready for shipment, our interns gained a comprehensive understanding of the industry's best practices. The most impressive part of the tour was testing a 36” concrete pipe for quality and PSI requirements on the D Load Machine. Rinker’s 36” concrete pipe actually surpassed the standard PSI - 3 times over - due to their high-quality control standards.  A huge thank you to the Rinker Materials Team who has proven to be a great partner on our projects and a partner in educating the next generation of industry experts. #ConstructionIndustry #ConcretePipe #InternshipExperience #LearningAndDevelopment #Internship #FutureLeaders #RinkerMaterials Rinker Materials

Engineers came to our Prentiss location for a tour of our pipe and precast plants and to observe our modular bridge process today. They were also able to get a good look at our mock bridge setup. They ended their tour with a PowerPoint presentation and delicious lunch! Rinker Materials

In July, stormwater systems may face increased demands due to the occurrence of heavy rainstorms or summer showers. It is essential to ensure that these drainage systems are well-maintained and clear of any debris or blockages that can impede the flow of water. Regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of reinforced concrete pipes and drainage boxes are crucial to their effective operation during the rainy season. Let our engineers work with you for your best solution. https://hubs.li/Q02FC3cF0

Due to durability and strength, the Department of Transportation commonly uses reinforced concrete pipes in stormwater drainage systems along our nation's roadways. RCP is available in various sizes and shapes to accommodate drainage needs. Drainage boxes, also known as catch basins or stormwater inlets, are another integral part of stormwater management systems. These boxes are commonly installed at strategic locations along stormwater evacuation routes, such as roadways or low-lying areas prone to flooding. Drainage boxes collect water from the surrounding area and direct it into the underground pipe network for proper disposal or treatment. For more information, check out https://hubs.ly/Q02FBY0w0
