About us

Mission Statement: The Ringling College Library Association (RCLA) is a local non-profit dedicated to the ongoing development of the Alfred R. Goldstein Library at The Ringling College of Art and Design and acts as a catalyst for educational growth of students, faculty, and the community. Every year RCLA hosts The TOWN HALL Lecture Series. The series features the leading speakers of the day, from world leaders to opinion-shapers, artists and entertainers to sports figures, journalists and authors. This is the largest fundraising event for the Ringling College Library Association (RCLA). Funds raised from the event go towards The Alfred R. Gold Stein Library at Ringling College and student scholarships for students attending Ringling College. RCLA offers a membership to our association which includes a benefit of gaining early access to purchase tickets to the TOWN HALL Lecture Series. I’m thrilled to be part of the Ringling College Library Association’s Town Hall Lecture Series Committee again. Tonight was our Platinum Appreciation celebration at the Alfred R. Goldstein Library on campus. It was an exceptional evening with delicious food, conversation and excitement for the upcoming series which includes Congresswoman Liz Cheney, Misty Copeland and Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch. I adore the series because it introduces me to new perspectives I wouldn’t ordinarily seek out. Over the years, I’ve met and listened to speakers from varied backgrounds and ideologies. Guests were gifted with RCLA speaker Stanley Tucci’s book, “Taste: My Life with Food,” along with a bookmark created by one of the students. I’m counting down the days to the first lecture! #mycommunity
