The Development Assistant as a member of the development team, in this multi-faceted position that will assist with day-to-day development tasks, working with donors and volunteers. Represents the spirit of the organization’s mission statement and serves guests and the community as well as the coordinator of multiple reception duties.    Reports to: Director of Development    Hours of Availability:  Full-Time (hourly)  Monday – Friday, hours range between 8am – 6:00pm with hours adjusted to meet the needs of the role. Evenings, holidays and weekends as scheduled    Compensation: $16.00    Our Team Members should exhibit the following:  ·     Possess a sincere love of Christ and maintain a Christian walk that is evident of that love.  ·     Individuals must be willing to adhere to the Rescue Mission Statement of Faith & Code of Ethics.  ·     Demonstrates a genuine interest in the safety and well-being of our guests and team members.  ·     Understanding of volunteer engagement and ability to utilize and appreciate volunteers in daily tasks.  ·     Strong work ethic and commitment to work as scheduled to include holidays and weekends as assigned.  ·     Strong listening, as well as written & verbal communication skills to execute instructions, keep others informed and exhibit professionalism.  ·     Demonstrated attention to detail/strong organizational skills to assist with multiple daily assignments and special projects.  ·     Ambitious to exceed expectations.      Job Specific Qualifications: ·     Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant administrative assistant experience preferred.  ·     Intermediate Microsoft office skills, Google, and donor databases.  ·     Strong relationship building skills.  ·     Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the organization with donors as well as interface with all levels of staff while maintaining flexibility, tact, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.  ·     Highly organized with unrelenting attention to detail.  ·     Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete assignments under strict deadlines with minimal supervision.   Career Summary (not all-inclusive list):    The Development Assistant provides support to the development team and other departments. Assists Reception with coverage as needed. Donor and volunteer database management. Donations and gifts processing. Basic housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment.  7. All Rescue Mission of Roanoke team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by the leadership/management.
