Budget was a key factor in the overall design – the client, Bruno Land Design, desired something cost-effective and eye-catching. Project Manager Justin Nunez attended an open studio night last week at PAC Art Residency, where a custom art piece we fabricated called Curva Roja was featured. The piece was designed by artist Ernesto Leon and was commissioned by Arturo Creixell. In addition to fabricating Curva Roja, we also played a part in creating shop drawings by studying a small-scale mock-up provided by Ernesto. All angles and dimensions were scaled up to the desired size. We're celebrating team member Cierra Reeves, who was recently certified as a Certified Playground Safety Inspector through the National Recreation and Park Association! The program's goal is to teach participants the skills needed to identify hazards on public playgrounds, rank hazards by injury potential, and apply this knowledge in an effort to remove hazards and develop inspection systems so that a safe playground experience can be achieved.
