Our team is excited to announce our very first partnership within the textile industry, a new collaboration with Refiberd, a trailblazer in the fashion industry, aiming to achieve true circularity in textile recycling. Refiberd's innovative sorting technology is a game-changer, addressing a critical bottleneck in the industry: the efficient and accurate sorting of textiles. Currently, less than 1% of textile waste is recycled into new clothing due to the challenges in processing unsorted waste. Refiberd can divert up to 70% of textile waste to high-value recyclers. This collaboration not only disrupts the traditional cycle of waste but also unlocks new sustainable opportunities across the fashion industry. Together with Refiberd, Photon etc. is proud to be at the forefront of this sustainable revolution, contributing our expertise in hyperspectral imaging to enhance textile sorting efficiency.
