We were proud to partner with Citi to celebrate their Global Community Day. A fabulous team of Citi volunteers completed some essential beautification and repairs to the grounds at Margaret's Village. Thanks Michelle Agunloye for your leadership on this event!
This week for Global Community Day the Citi team partnered with Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago for a service event at Margaret's Village, a transitional housing facility for homeless women, children, and families. We were informed in advance that we would be participating in a beautification project, and I must say I left feeling very proud of what we accomplished. Our Citi team collectively helped repaint an outdoor deck, clean a children's playground, update the landscaping, and clear out debris from the yard. The residents now have a beautiful new outdoor space at their disposal! Special thanks to Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago for helping us plan an amazing service project and to Margaret's Village for welcoming us to the space. We were all privileged to participate and what was certainly an incredible service event. #citivolunteers #Citiproud

We were thrilled to partner with the team from The Opus Group to complete some essential repairs and uplift on one of the residential homes at Little City! Thanks team Opus for all your work. Such a great day.
Our Chicago associates returned to Little City in Palatine, Illinois, on Founder’s Day. Little City is a nonprofit that offers a “comprehensive scope of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities." This is the fifth year we’ve partnered with Little City via Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago to help create a warm and welcoming environment. In support of this volunteer effort, the Opus Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago *** April 22, Founder's Day at Opus, marks the date back in 1953 when our founder, Gerry Rauenhorst, signed his first contract. This defining moment was the start of the construction business that evolved into The Opus Group of today. Gerry saw his business venture as a way to not only improve an industry and support his family, but also a means to improve and support his community. His commitment to community philanthropy became a priority and tradition engrained in our organization. We celebrate this day annually with company-wide volunteer events. Each office has the flexibility to celebrate Founder’s Day when it works best for the team. #OpusBuildingCommunity #TheOpusGroup #DesignBuild #CommercialRealEstate

We are still glowing from National Rebuilding Day! This year on National Rebuilding Day we had over 1,000 volunteers out in force working alongside over 60 homeowners to make essential no-cost repairs and accessibility modifications! Thank you to all of our sponsors, partners, and volunteers who help make it all possible. We truly could not do it without you.

Continental had a great presence once again at the annual Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago for 2024. Most of the work we were asked to complete was lighting and power modifications, code corrections, hood fan replacements, and overall cleanup of unsafe electrical conditions. Our four groups met some wonderful homeowners who welcomed us and appreciated the work that not only the electricians completed, but the painters, plumbers, and the Rebuild staff. This year our teams were split between two locations to utilize our service trucks more efficiently. The Englewood location was comprised of Team Cody: John Cody, Hector Ruiz, Kevin Kalchbrenner, Eric Tremore, and Jose Corcoles. Team Fritz: Jim Fritz, Bill Hayes, Dennis Ferriter, Adan Munoz, and Kevin Lake. The Park Forest location was comprised of Team Cronk: Jim Cronk, Tony Falbo, Brian Swiatek, Fidel Sanchez, Ryan Kenney, Joe Webb, and Mike Petway. Team Bensema: Austin Bensema, Bob Flowers, Dave Marek, Jesse Schmidt, Jason Werner, and Jim Klingelschmitt Thanks to Local 134 and Powering Chicago for their continued efforts to build up communities and relationships for the good of the industry. Special thanks to our Service members who brought their vans for all the groups to work out of as well as the rest of the volunteers. Continental once again had the most participants at both locations and should be proud of the work we accomplished. #CECCoProud #Community #Volunteer

Making a Difference in Our Community! For several years, Gilbane has proudly volunteered with Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago to provide much-needed home improvements for Chicago residents. This past weekend, on #NationalRebuildingDay, we rolled up our sleeves once again alongside skilled trades workers, to help a local homeowner with various improvements including repairing the front door, installing new ceiling tiles in the rooms, upgrading the bathroom, painting and patching several rooms, and installing new safety features like smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. We believe in building more than buildings; we’re building a stronger, safer community. Thank you to our dedicated team for making a positive impact in the neighborhoods we serve! #BuildingMoreThanBuildings #NationalVolunteerMonth #GilbaneBuildsChicago #RebuildingTogether

Exciting weekend volunteering for a great cause through Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago! 🛠️ This past Saturday, I had the privilege of joining a fantastic group of volunteers from Lakeside Bank and Cullen Construction Management to renovate a home in Englewood. Together, we made a meaningful impact by transforming the living space of a gracious and humble homeowner. It was incredible to witness the positive change our efforts brought to the block and entire community.
On Saturday, April 27, Lakeside Bank employees joined in the renovation of a Chicago home as part of "Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago. Alongside Cullen Construction Management, a Lakeside client, Lakesiders collaborated on various projects aimed at enhancing the home. Across the nation, Rebuilding Together led home restoration projects in 34 cities on the same day for #NationalRebuildingDay! In the Chicago and Cook County area, 90 homes were greatly improved with these impactful projects. This past weekend marked Lakeside's 6th consecutive year (and 7th project) participating in Rebuilding Together, showcasing our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
