Philadelphia's Market Since 1893
About us
Welcome to the Reading Terminal Market, one of America’s largest and oldest public markets. We’ve been housed in this National Historic Landmark building since 1893, and that’s how long our market has been supplying Philadelphia’s culinary needs with local, regional, and globally sourced groceries and goods, as well as lunch counter grab-and-go’s, all under one historic roof.

We are proud partners of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and love being a piece of authentic Philadelphia they showcase on the road to inspire excitement about the City. Reading Terminal Market has been feeding the heart and soul of Philadelphia for more than 130 years and looks forward to continuing this mission for locals and visitors alike. We'll see you soon!
The Philadelphia team made a big impression at one of the leading gatherings for business events professionals, PCMA Convening Leaders in #SanDiego. To generate interest in future event business, the PHLCVB sales and marketing team, alongside representatives from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association and Philadelphia area hotels, engaged with potential clients at the eye-catching Philadelphia booth in The District throughout the event. The booth’s immersive Reading Terminal Market experience gave meetings professionals insight into the unique Philadelphia attendee experience. Each day, the booth served up local favorites — cheesesteaks on Monday and crab fries on Tuesday — to hungry convention-goers, attracting long lines and increased buzz around the Philadelphia experience. As an active member of PCMA's board, PHLCVB President and CEO Gregg C. was involved in multiple leadership sessions throughout the event. To further engage #meetingprofs, the PHLCVB team held a joint customer brunch with VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau at Garibaldi at the InterContinental San Diego. The event welcomed over 150 guests and included interactive “Build Your Own Bouquet” and “Create Your Own Scent” activations for attendees. Philadelphia is looking forward to hosting PCMA Convening Leaders in January 2026 to kick off a landmark year in America’s founding city. #discoverPHL #BusinessEvents #MeetingsAndEvents #EventProfs #PCMA #PCMACL #CL2024 #PCMACL #PCMACL24
