New theater with a focus on the creative process and unique productions.
About us
The Reading Theater Project is a locally-focused, theater company, based in Greater Reading/Berks County, PA. We produce new theater with a focus on the creative process for the artists involved, resulting in a unique production for the audience. We value collaboration and creative challenges and believe theater is an inclusive experience that can reveal our shared human condition. Risk-taking and art-making are at the forefront of what we do. ALL ARE WELCOME HERE. Theater is transformative. As such, and with a spirit of shared humanity, we stand for an anti-racist community of artists and audience, and we renounce all racism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, classism, ableism, and hate speech or actions that aim to silence, threaten, or degrade anyone. Each year, we fully produce a play or series of short plays, our annual Fringe theater festival, play readings on local television and in person, and outdoor theater in the summer. We want to connect with you: Are you a playwright looking to hold a reading? Are you a theater-lover looking for something new? Are you an actor, director, writer, composer, designer, or any kind of artist looking for a group of peers to work and create? Do you want to make a donation to enable us to make more innovative theater? Please contact us to get involved!

This reading is presented in partnership with Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Wilkes University, where Joey is a student. Goski and Hassica live in a world where mortals coexist with immortals, witches and goddesses. Leaving the warmth of their community behind, they set out in search of a long-lost friend. Can they overcome the inner and outer challenges of their journey, armed with just their wits and a little magick? How far will they go? Are they prepared to go beyond the heavens to find her?
