The 4th of July is Independence Day for the United States. Before becoming a country, the U.S. was a group of colonies owned by Great Britain. On July 4th, 1776, the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and announced their independence from Great Britain. As we celebrate this day, let us remember to be safe and to care for our fellow neighbors.

For 60 years, Rea has provided college scholarships to sons and daughters of Rea employees. This year, four finalists enjoyed a banquet with their parents and Rea's Selection Board at Ruth's Chris and then interviewed with the Board. Congratulations to Lily Stowe (daughter of Matt Stowe) and Emma Schiffli (daughter of Nick Schiffli) for being awarded the 4-year scholarships; and Mariah Stekier (daughter of Sheree Moye-Stekier) and Mercy Rhodenizer (daughter of Eldon Rhodenizer) for being awarded one-time scholarships.

Rea was a proud scholarship sponsor to the HLCNI (Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeast Indiana). Thank you Veronica Sierra for bringing this opportunity to Rea and representing Rea at the recent Noche de Gala where Rea's scholarship was awarded to Lisbet Diaz, a student at University of Saint Francis majoring in Radiologic Technology.

Rea is so blessed to have Sandra Villajos as part of its team. True leader in bringing this event to support Just Neighbors Homeless Network and bringing together teams from other companies for some friendly and "slightly" competitive volleyball.
What a pleasure to be part of Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network Board and be able to organize this event to help homeless families and raise awareness in our community. THANK YOU to all the companies that participated this past Saturday, to the sponsors and volunteers that made it possible and supported without hesitation, YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE 🏐🙌🏻
