Accent lighting, customizable panels, sleek and modern finishes: When building Quilt, we knew it had to be more than the most efficient heat pump on the market. It also had to be beautiful. We teamed up with the brilliant designers Mike & Maaike to make sure Quilt would elevate the aesthetics of the home rather than detract from them. A few weeks ago, we gathered in the first home to be fully outfitted with Quilt to announce our launch. Quilt is now available to reserve across the US and Canada. Our reimagined heat pump offers a comfortable, efficient home climate experience without relying on fossil fuels. It was extra special to celebrate Quilt’s launch with a group of people eager to contribute to our electric future. Tom Steyer helped us kick things off with a fireside chat, where we talked about climate optimism, alongside climate advocates like Andrew McAllister, Darcie L. H., and longtime supporters and friends of Quilt. It’s always refreshing to be reminded of the hope that exists in the climate space, and we’re proud to be a part of it. We're grateful for everyone who joined us, both virtually and in person. There’s a lot of doom and gloom surrounding the climate space — and that’s fair – but there’s also a lot that sparks joy. Last week, we co-hosted a Climate Week panel event with Lowercarbon Capital about the challenges and opportunities around electrifying homes in America, and how critical it is to make the process financially smart, seamless, and even sexy for homeowners. There have to be incentives to get us to where we need to go. Nicole Staple from Rewiring America talked about the positive chain of events that come from the IRA and other incentives: “Something that resonates with everyone is what we call “civic joy.” This is an incredibly exciting moment,” Nicole said. “The government is literally giving you up to $14,000 to buy some of the coolest, newest, best engineering machines that have ever existed and also creating tons of jobs.
