About us
Pro Bono Partnership provides business and transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations serving the disadvantaged or enhancing the quality of life in neighborhoods in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. Substantially leveraging the impact of its in-house legal staff, the Partnership annually recruits and mobilizes hundreds of attorneys from major corporations and law firms to donate their time and expertise on behalf of its nonprofit clients, enhancing their ability to improve conditions in their communities. Since its founding in 1997, the Partnership has assisted over 4,000 nonprofit organizations on nearly 19,000 legal matters, enabling them to more effectively feed the hungry, house the homeless, promote the arts, protect the environment, and provide essential programs to children, the elderly, immigrants, individuals with disabilities, and the unemployed.

This Wednesday (6/12), New Jersey Center for Nonprofits is hosting a *free* voter engagement #webinar specifically for #nonprofits! Nonprofits are uniquely positioned to help foster higher levels of voter engagement, which helps to remove gaps in our democracy that are created when large segments of the public are left out of the political process. Hope to see you there! https://lnkd.in/dwu4JXAf #PBPstrong #PBPNJ #Vote Nonprofit VOTE League of Women Voters of New Jersey

A new overtime rule is coming soon, and our partners at Fisher Phillips have compiled an actionable 8-step plan to help you prepare... More of your employees may be eligible for overtime pay under a new rule that is likely to be finalized in April and could take effect soon. The U.S. Department of Labor intends to significantly raise the exempt salary threshold from about $35K to about $55K – meaning your workers will need to earn at least the new threshold to even be considered exempt from OT pay. #nonprofitlife #nonprofits #employmentlaw #PBPstrong
