PEWIN continues to ASCEND! Thank you to all the fabulous women who joined our Toronto chapter last evening at our host Torys LLP for dinner and deeper connections with one another. The conversations regarding our shared experiences as women leaders in private equity, venture capital and private credit were both insightful and informative as we take this program, which supports our rising stars, to the next level. Thank you to Lisa Melchior for inspiring us to continuously raise one another up through meaningful mentorship, to Jen Morais and Julie Gray for leading our fast growing Canadian chapter, and to Laurie Duke, Amy Johnson-Spina, Leah Frank and Mena B. for your support and commitment to ensuring our gathering was hosted so beautifully and professionally.

The extreme heat wave and NATO road blockades couldn't keep our Mid-Atlantic chapter from coming together last evening for a spectacular gathering at The Urban Grape in Washington, DC. Thank you to this wonderful group of women for braving the obstacles to convene, connect and hear all about PEWIN - Private Equity Women Investor Network plans and programming. Thank you especially to Virginia Garrison and Liz Wurster from J.P. Morgan Private Bank for hosting us. And to Dana Johns, Beth Rahn and Aubrey Hruby for your chapter leadership and planning. There is so much energy in this town and we look forward to bringing senior women GPs and LPs together from across the Mid-Atlantic region over the rest of 2024!

Our Seoul, Korea chapter celebrated their one-year anniversary over the weekend with an incredible showing of more than 50 senior women in private equity coming together for a rich afternoon of GP and LP panel discussions and productive networking. Since formation, under the leadership of Mieun Chung, CFA, Yeon Jung, and Natalia Haewon Park, the chapter has demonstrated commitment to advancing PEWIN’s mission to unite, empower and advance senior-level women in private equity. The energy and engagement surrounding the events they have held are truly impressive and our global efforts are inspired by their success. A special thanks to our U.S. leaders Lisa Lee, Gina Lee Peyton and Jennifer James for joining the celebration, fostering incredible global connectivity among our membership. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our growth in Korea and across Asia!

On June 27, 30 senior-level women private equity investors convened on the spectacular rooftop at the Paris offices of our host Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP to launch PEWIN - Private Equity Women Investor Network's Paris chapter. The launch marks our organization’s second chapter in Europe, with London being the first, and our fourteenth chapter globally. PEWIN member Alona Ponomareva of the World Bank Pension was instrumental in organizing the chapter’s founding with amazing support from PEWIN leaders Joanne Y. and Anna Ferguson. It was a fantastic evening of connection and camaraderie which will be carried forward with events now being planned for the remainder of the year. We look forward to harnessing the incredible power of these amazing women leaders to unite, empower and advance gender equity across GPs and LPs worldwide. A special thank you to Macquarie Asset Management for coming on board as our first partner in France. We are so excited to grow our presence and impact.

It is a call to action for leaders everywhere to ensure these principles are upheld. As we commemorate this historic event, let us commit to championing these values, and work together to foster a just world where freedom and equality are realities for everyone. #Juneteenth #HumanRights #EquityForAll
