About us

Princeton is a dynamic community located along the Rum River, one of Minnesota’s six protected Wild and Scenic rivers. Located 50 miles north of Minneapolis and 30 miles east of St. Cloud, Princeton offers the conveniences of a larger community with the tranquility of small-town living. An excellent school system, strong industrial park, historic downtown, and a growing variety of recreational opportunities all add to the quality of life in the Princeton community. Princeton Independent School District 477 offers a comprehensive educational program for students from birth through grade 12. The district's enrollment is approximately 3,300 students. Along with its high quality curricular and academic programs, the district also offers a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities for students. Learning opportunities for district residents of all ages are offered through the district's community education program.
