Our software empowers schools, communities, public health organizations, congregate living facilities and others to provide affordable and accessible healthcare (testing, vaccinations, preventive care and more). Our testing solutions include over-the-counter, CLIA-waived point-of-care, and at-home testing, with virtual consults, e-prescribe, and follow-up care available for positive or abnormal test results. For every Primary.Health offering, our software platform streamlines program administration, scheduling, patient communications, test results reporting and more, freeing healthcare staff to do more of what they do best - care for their population. 💚 It's Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. 💚 The facts are sobering. People from racial/ethnic minority groups are less likely to receive mental health care. For example, in 2015, among adults with any mental illness, 48 percent of whites received mental health services, compared with 31 percent of blacks and Hispanics, and 22 percent of Asians. Here are some ways for communities to improve minority access to mental health care: ✅ Educate to reduce the mental illness stigma, often greater among minority populations ✅ Increase diversity among mental health care providers ✅ Train providers in cultural competency ✅ Reduce language barriers with materials that support several languages. ✅ Provide more mental health services in safety net settings (uninsured, Medicaid, Health Insurance Coverage, and other vulnerable patients) Source: American Psychiatric Association (APA) Learn more from the APA's mental health fact sheets for diverse populations. https://lnkd.in/gDt7uzmH
