Outstanding day with the 17 STEM students of McCaskey High School at @Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, PrecisionForm Inc. and Precision Cobotics with the Spark of Engineering program. The students are on the 2nd of 3 rotations visiting area manufacturing businesses (Armstrong World Industries, Buck Company, LLC) and schools (Franklin & Marshall College, Millersville University of Pennsylvania to learn how they can carry on their high school STEM education to make an impact and strengthen manufacturing in PA. Wow #1 - Meeting with 50 manufacturing and automation upper classmen at Millersville University of Pennsylvania to share the dream of the PCI/MU robotics lab for high school STEM students for area schools including (Pequea Valley High School, Jared Erb, Ephrata Senior High School, Michele Myers, Conestoga Valley Senior High School, Mel Upton and Garden Spot Senior High School, Jill Hackman) Wow #2 - Interviewing with 17 students who are deeply interested in taking part in the program. Then learning from their teachers John R Haughery, PhD, CSCE that we have the best of the best interested in making this dream a reality. Wow #3 - Seeing the "CIM Robotics" space in-person soon to be full with technology such as a UR10 from Universal Robots thanks to Cart.com and Steve Fischer Precision Cobotics hopes we are making Lauren Beal, Ed.D., Andrew Garner and the The Steinman Foundation pleased with our progress with their generous grant money.
