We're coming up on the last couple days to cast YOUR vote for Best Radio Station in the Willamette Week Best of Portland 2024 poll. Being nominated shows us our community is diggin' what we're doing. But let's be honest, we kinda consider ourselves the underdog in this race. The nomination reminds us that what we do is important. It's important to uplift local businesses. To support other nonprofits. And to give a voice to those often left without one. And then there's the music...what an incredible independent music scene we have! But here's the catch, we can't do what we do without you. And frankly we wouldn't want to. We ♥️ the very community we strive to support 24/7. Sometimes we get a little emosh over here at PRP. We're just so darn proud of what we get to do. We hope you are too. https://lnkd.in/gSr-ZSHu Thanks! . . . #communityfirst #communityradio #portlandradio #portlandradioproject #portlandradiostation #bestofportland2024 #portlandmusic #portlandmusicscene #portlandmusicians

About us
Portland Radio Project is your non-profit community radio station, closely tuned in to PDX. On the dial at 99.1 FM in the heart of Portland and streaming worldwide from any computer – or mobile app. Our mission is to give a voice to local musicians, nonprofits, and small businesses – engaging and mentoring new generations of arts lovers and community supporters. Fresh Vibe programming offers listeners a continuous flow of lush sounds, playing dream and electro pop, indie alt, neo soul, shoegaze, and other sounds that fall outside traditionally defined genres. You can listen to Fresh Vibe M-F 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Night Hive programming (all other hours) offers meticulously curated shows from our talented DJs and a fresh mix of new rock, indie, R&B, soul, hip hop, and other genres. Listener supported, commercial-free ~ a local artist every 15 minutes! Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at PRP Recognizing the historic imbalance of power in American media, with regard to race, gender, national origin, age and disability, we at Portland Radio Project are striving to become more diverse – and to increasingly reflect the communities we serve. We actively seek perspectives and expressions from varied sources in an effort to better culture ourselves, our listeners, and more-closely align our organization with our increasingly diverse communities in the Portland area. We realize there is work to be done in improving diversity in the local music community, and we are part of the movement toward a more just and equitable media landscape in Portland and beyond. If you are motivated to help us achieve these goals, we welcome your participation. As a 501c3, we operate with the integrity and values of a non-profit, seeking financial support from listeners, friends, businesses and foundations. If your smart, friendly, local business would like to underwrite programming on PRP.fm, please email sponsor@prp.fm
