Poppy Bank is thrilled to announce that we were just named the WINNER of Best Regional Bank by SFGATE in the inaugural Best of the Bay Area contest! SFGATE readers nominated and voted for the top Bay Area business in more than 150 categories. It was an honor to ring in the celebration with the SFGATE team and local businesses at Chase Center on Friday evening. SFGate Editor in Chief Grant Marek quoted an African proverb stating, "The axe forgets, but the tree remembers. Since the pandemic, Bay Area businesses have taken a beating. You're all part of the tree -- and now we pull together as a community and help one another thrive." This recognition is a testament to our dedicated team who remains steadfast in their commitment to the communities we serve. Thank you, Bay Area, for this amazing recognition. #SFGate #BestoftheBayArea #ReadersChoice #TrueCommunityBank

Poppy Bank had the opportunity to sponsor Junior Achievement of Sacramento’s Stock Market Challenge. Milad Parsa, AVP—Branch Manager of Poppy Bank’s Roseville branch, Danyal E., VP—Treasury Management and Business Development Officer, and Anthony H., AVP—Branch Manager of Poppy Bank’s Folsom branch were in attendance. Junior Achievement is committed to giving young people the knowledge and skills needed to achieve economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. It was incredibly rewarding to participate in the organization’s Stock Market Challenge. This dynamic stock market simulation was designed to teach students how the stock market truly works. Students broke off into teams and used cutting-edge software to make decisions to achieve the highest net worth in their investment portfolios. At Poppy Bank, we are passionate about supporting financial literacy and we firmly believe that financial education is the foundation for a thriving future. Thank you to Junior Achievement for the opportunity to partner with you to equip and inspire the next generation of investors and leaders in our community. #JuniorAchievement #StockMarketChallenge #FinancialLiteracy

It was totally awesome sponsoring Council on Aging of Sonoma County’s annual Heels 4 Meals Luncheon. This year’s theme was Step into your Favorite Decade, and it was pretty groovy! As each decade was recognized, it was a great reminder that growing older is a gift. Council on Aging’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of our aging community by providing services that promote well-being and maintain independence. Their services include social programs, fiduciary services, and nutrition services to support seniors in need. The organization’s flagship program, Meals on Wheels, provides fresh meals delivered daily to homebound seniors. President and CEO, Marrianne McBride, says, “Our Meals on Wheels clients would tell you that they receive more than a delicious meal. They have a friendly visitor and a reason to get dressed each day.” We are honored to partner with Council on Aging to provide essential and life-changing services to some of the most vulnerable in our community. #CouncilonAging #SeniorCare
