Check out the piece Nadya Mason and I wrote in today's Sunday Chicago Tribune about how "The Quantum Revolution is Coming to Illinois" In the opinion piece we focus on the significance of last week's announcement of the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park, the symbolism of its location at the former South Works US Steel plant, and the potential for this initiative to help Chicago and Illinois be on the cutting edge of a major new high tech industry. Hope you can check it out! Thanks to so many for supporting the quantum ecosystem from our team at Polsky Center at the University of Chicago running Duality (the country's first quantum accelerator), the pioneering faculty teaching one of the first quantum engineering degree programs at Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago, the ecosystem building and vision of Chicago Quantum Exchange P33 Chicago and support from public/private teams at Intersect Illinois World Business Chicago and of course the great courage and vision of JB Pritzker to put our state in a leading position in this new technology vertical. Will be great to collaborate with the teams at Clayco The Grainger College of Engineering to support turning this announcement into a ground breaking and an eventual ribbon cutting on a 128-acre campus right on Lake Michigan 10 minutes from the University of Chicago campus. https://lnkd.in/gGM-9z8E
