Installing a polymer insulator is a fairly simple task, but it's still important to understand a few key points to ensure it's done correctly. In this episode of PLP's Distribution Tips and Tricks, Craig explains why you should never back off a fully threaded insulator when adjusting its alignment with the conductor. #tips #electricpower #linemen

It's a Jeep thing. Entering service in 1959, this Willys Jeep Utility Wagon traversed the United States for many years as PLP's Line Patrol Vehicle—carrying out troubleshooting assignments and supplementing our Mobile Dynalab... quite literally a mobile home on wheels equipped with computers the size of refrigerators to monitor and study conductor motion events on overhead power lines. Today, our AEOLUS™ line monitoring system utilizes far superior technology inside a device the size of your hand, but our proud legacy of field conductor motion analysis begins with this rugged, adventurous, and iconic Jeep. #jeep #duckduckjeep #itsajeepthing

PLP has called Rogers, Arkansas home for over 50 years - ever since we first established our largest US manufacturing plant there in 1969. The people of Northwest Arkansas are not just our coworkers; they are our neighbors, our friends, and our family. This past weekend, the people of Rogers and the Northwest Arkansas region experienced devastating widespread storms with at least one tornado causing significant damage to homes, businesses, and the surrounding community. Thankfully, our Rogers team members are all safe and accounted for. However, the devastation to the region is real. Our Rogers plant experienced some minor damage, which can be repaired. But our primary concern is with the people of Northwest Arkansas. So, we ask for everyone to keep those affected by this destructive storm in their thoughts and to provide assistance however you can. As always, we are Arkansas Proud and Rogers Strong! #ArkansasProud #RogersStrong
