I am excited to share our research on the equity implications of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and their role in promoting resilience against climate change. In our study, we explore the complexities of designing and delivering equitable and just NbS strategies. 🔍 Key Findings: - Complex Interactions: Individual equity pathways (distributional, procedural, recognitional, and structural) interact in intricate ways. - Perceived Disempowerment: Despite empowerment efforts, residents felt a lack of decision-making power and negative impacts on community well-being. - Systems-Level Approach: Comprehensive planning and community impact evaluations are crucial to address systems-level equity issues.
