Brief Description of the role: We are seeking a proactive Engineer to join our team and support our contract management and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing subcontractors, obtaining quotes for construction projects, and managing communications with contractors to ensure project timelines are met. Responsibilities: - Source and evaluate subcontractors for construction projects, obtaining competitive quotes and negotiating contracts. - Liaise with contractors and suppliers to confirm prices for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budgetary constraints. - Attend weekly site meetings to provide project updates, enforce deadlines, and address any issues that may arise. - Update the construction program on a weekly basis in collaboration with contractors to ensure alignment with project timelines. -Maintain accurate records of contracts, quotes, and communications with subcontractors and suppliers. Possess a strong character to effectively control meetings and enforce penalties if works are delayed. Location: The role is based in Dubai, with occasional travel to project sites and meetings as required.
