We’re thrilled to share that Ping Pong for Good was recently spotlighted in this inspiring story about our program in Central Illinois! The segment features Ned Neuhaus, who plays an essential role in bringing and facilitating our program in Peoria. Ned explains how ping pong is more than a fun basement game—it significantly aids mental and physical processing, making it perfect for those with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative conditions. Diagnosed with PD in 2013, Ned has experienced the positive impact of our science-based approach, combining bodyweight exercises, off-the-table drills, and on-the-table drills. While some come for competition, most join for social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive benefits. The results are clear: improved ping pong skills, balance, mental acuity, strength, and endurance. A huge thank you to Ned, Coach George, Coach Ron, and all our volunteers and participants for making this program possible! Your commitment and enthusiasm are truly inspiring. If you want to learn how to bring this program to your community, email: info@pingpongforgood.org. Thanks to 25 News Now in Central Illinois and Week Creatives Services for the great story! #PingPongForGood #neuroscience #parkinsons #exerciseismedicine #CommunitySupport

Our own Trent MacLean and beloved long-time participant, Farrel Levy, star in a heartfelt short film on Mediflix. This film dives into the crucial ON/OFF periods when medications are at their most and least effective, bringing to life their personal stories. It beautifully captures the ups and downs they face, highlighting the importance of maximizing those precious ON times. Now Streaming on Mediflix: https://bit.ly/3VvH51T Trent and Farrel did an amazing job, and this video is not to be missed. Trent's appearance in this film is particularly moving with his vulnerability and courage shining through. Farrel’s account of her adventures and enthusiasm for life is truly inspiring. Viewers will gain valuable insights and learn a lot by watching it. It even features an animated segment of Trent playing ping pong with vigor (05:45)! We created Ping Pong for Good because exercise plays a crucial role in managing Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative conditions. By engaging in regular physical activity, like ping pong, individuals can enhance their ON periods and improve their overall quality of life. This video is a powerful testament to the resilience and determination of those living with Parkinson's and why we do what we do at Ping Pong for Good. Thanks to Mediflix and AbbVie for this amazing film! We had a great Parkinson's group session with some new volunteers at 888 Table Tennis Center at our SF location today! Young table tennis players Aarav and Tanvi Desai spent their morning with the class to share their knowledge with our participants and help them to improve in table tennis! Volunteers of all ages play a key role in our programs which are helping to make ping pong accessible as a therapeutic and fitness activity, especially for those with neurodegenerative conditions. Playing ping pong also promotes healthy aging! If you are interested in learning how you can get involved in our current programs or want to help facilitate one in your community, please email info@pingpongforgood.org. #tabletennis #pingpong #brainhealth #exerciseismedicine #parkinsonsawareness #Alzheimers #MultipleSclerosis #neuroscience #usatabletenis USA Table Tennis Trent MacLean Vikas Chinnan Maureen McComsey
