Physicians Insurance is excited to welcome our summer interns – Kathleen Hollinger and Daniel In – who come to us through our partnership with INROADS Internship Program! Kathleen is a student at Fordham University in New York City, pursuing an undergraduate degree in business administration. She’ll be supporting our Underwriting team in preparing reports for underwriting analysis and building knowledge in data analysis, risk selection, submission lifecycle, and insurance premium rates. Daniel is studying computer science and business at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He’ll be involved with various Information Technology (IT) projects at PI in support of increasing efficiency and collaboration within the organization. It’s an honor to have Kathleen and Daniel on our team and be part of their professional leadership development. Today we join the nation in recognizing Juneteenth – a day to celebrate freedom and the power of never giving up. This day in 1865 marked the effective end of slavery in the U.S., with the freeing of approximately 250,000 enslaved African Americans in the state of Texas some two-and-one-half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
