World Blood Donor Day serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and to thank voluntary blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. According to the American Red Cross, blood donations decline each year during the spring and summer months – but the need for blood donations doesn’t take a summer break. Over 55 million people in the world are currently living with Alzheimer’s or other dementia. Each year, 3 million Americans are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately, the disease is most prevalent in women and Black Americans. More than 18.1 million people in the United States are living with or beyond cancer. This past Sunday, June 2, PerformRx was proud to celebrate World Cancer Survivors Day. Held annually on the first Sunday in June, World Cancer Survivors Day is a celebration of life, while also raising awareness of the challenges involved with living beyond cancer.
