About us
PSTAP/PSPA (Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants) is a membership organization representing community accountants and tax professionals. Our members are solo practitioners and small sized firms interested in building careers and practices. As a state leader in this area we espouse the highest standards for ethical practice and financial responsibility for our members when running a solo or small sized operation. Simply put, we want you to achieve great success. Benefits of Membership: Education and Professional Development Our members receive current and cutting edge professional development classes at a significantly discounted price. These programs are offered in a classroom environment as well as in an online webinar format. Curriculums are available in all areas of your practice from breaking down complex tax laws and procedures to helping you build a successful business. Our programs meet your CPE (Continuing Professional Education) requirements. Email Discussion List: One of our most valuable resources for members is the ability to connect them with colleagues for advice. The process is simple, you first post a question about your practice, a particular tax situation, new tax laws or anything else related to you and your work. Other members then respond with their best advice and/or experience. The collaboration and ability to connect with other small firm accountants provides you with a sense of community. Networking: Many small and solo practitioners feel disconnected as they often work alone. Our local chapters provide the perfect opportunity to network with others like you and build solid professional relationships. At chapter meetings you will find top-notch educational programs as well as substantial time to interact with other members and exchange ideas about building your practice and serving your clients.
