Meet Dex Palmer, Trust & Safety Investigator. Let's learn more about Dex. Tell us a little bit more about yourself! I live in Salt Lake City, I was born and raised here, and the majority of my family lives here as well. I am the middle child, though it wasn’t that way until I was about 19. I have one older sister and one younger sister. I used to compete in Jamskating competitions across the U.S. Jamskating is essentially breakdancing on roller skates. I started when I was around 11 years old and competed until I was 18, at which point life got busy with college and work. I still skate a couple of times a month, helping out my old teammates with teaching new skaters, creating new routines, or judging local competitions. Otherwise, I play a lot of video games (PC), my vinyl collection is slowly growing, and I’m planning some over-landing trips for this summer What’s a skill you’d love to learn if you had the time? I really enjoy cooking. I am constantly trying to push myself to cook new dishes, hone my knife skills, and develop my palette. There’s a local culinary school that offers a 12-week culinary certificate course which I’d love to take in the future.

Great piece by Sara B. in the San Francisco Business Times on new Peerspace CEO Kevin Yuann's arrival, and a look at where the company is heading next: "In the future, Peerspace also plans on adding additional services to help users manage all aspects of event planning. 'If someone wants to book a birthday party or a baby shower in a space, it's not as easy as just picking the space. You've got to think about all the things that go into that in terms of catering, any sort of activities, clean up,' Yuann said. 'I think we have a real opportunity to solve that and make it easy.'" https://lnkd.in/eYEKffsb

Meet Andy Henderson, Shared Services Supervisor. In addition to his work at Peerspace, Andy is a talented photographer and was recently featured in Vogue: https://lnkd.in/gFtmSM2Y Let's learn more about Andy. Tell us a little bit more about yourself! I grew up in Texas and have worked a lot of jobs - believe it or not, most of them have been manual labor. I repaired pools, I was a volunteer firefighter, I was a horse rancher, I took apart airplanes. My wife Kenzie and I are registered foster parents, we live in New York City, and love taking our two dogs for walks in Central Park. What is an accomplishment that you are most proud of? When I was in college, I entered a photo into a college sports photography competition and won first place. I was attending a tiny D2 school in Arkansas and was competing against schools like LSU, OU, Miami, and University of Texas. It was really validating to know that even though I opted to go to a smaller school, I could still compete at that level.

Meet Stephanie Moccio, Sr. Director of Global Traffic Acquisition. Let's learn more about Stephanie. Tell us a little bit more about yourself! I come from a family of two brothers — we are a blend of Italian, Irish, and French—my dad being Italian and Irish, and my mom, French. My dad’s side is very stereotypical Italian (with expressive hand gestures, a love for good food, etc.) and is where I got my love for sports and weightlifting. My dad was the first person to take me to a gym! My mom’s side is very creative and musically inclined — we used to have a family reunion every Labor Day in the Poconos and would ALWAYS have a jam session that included piano, bongos, and a whole lot of singing. I am equal parts of my parents. Many already know that I love weightlifting, but what you might not know is that I also love to sing and play guitar. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Thailand is a bucket list trip for me! Once you are there, the country is relatively inexpensive and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Besides relaxing, I would love to visit their temples, shop at their markets, and deeply embed myself in their culture. My biggest battle to pulling the trigger is the 20 hour flight from New Jersey…
