About us

About PeaceHealth PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, Wash., is a not-for-profit Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. PeaceHealth has approximately 16,000 caregivers, a medical group practice with more than 900 providers and 10 medical centers serving both urban and rural communities throughout the Northwest. In 1890, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace founded what has become PeaceHealth. The Sisters shared expertise and transferred wisdom from one medical center to another, always finding the best way to serve the unmet need for healthcare in their communities. Today, PeaceHealth is the legacy of the founding Sisters and continues with a spirit of respect, stewardship, collaboration and social justice in fulfilling its Mission. PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (Vancouver, WA): Did you know PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center has an animal feed program? Food scraps from the hospital become dinner for a passel of pigs. Caregiver Brent Cheney, RN, picks up food scraps from Southwest for his Mangalitsa pig breeding program at his family farm, Heirloom Family Micro Farm. PeaceHealth has been feeding these pigs for more than three years! “Our sustainability work is an important component of PeaceHealth’s value of stewardship, which includes a commitment to reducing our impact on the environment while supporting community health,” said Brian Nelson, PeaceHealth director of environmental stewardship, who oversees the program. “We take something that is considered ‘garbage’ bound for the landfill and turn it into a valuable product,” Cheney added. Pictured below is Cheney's wife and son holding the piglets. 🐷 Become part of PeaceHealth's Mission and find meaningful service in the community: https://ow.ly/v0z350SliPW

With the unfortunate rise in employment scams, PeaceHealth encourages job seekers to be informed and vigilant. We have been made aware of several fake employment scams impersonating PeaceHealth. These scams usually involve someone claiming to work for PeaceHealth reaching out either via email or phone with an interview request or job offer. Job offers that are not directly extended by a PeaceHealth-employed recruiter are fake, and these scammers are attempting to steal your money or identity. Possible alerts that this may not be legitimate include: 🚩Contacting you via text message without having had a connection with you prior 🚩Contacting you from an email address that does not end in peacehealth.org. This includes emails ending in gmail.com, yahoo.com, or other similar addresses 🚩Contacting you for a job opening for which you did not apply 🚩Asking you to pay money upfront to be considered for a job posting 🚩Sending you a “virtual check” with instructions to print out and deposit 🚩Requesting (or completing) an interview completely online via text message that results in a job offer without a personal conversation with someone If you receive one of these scam messages, DO NOT RESPOND. If you received a scam message and would like to report it, or are unsure if a message you received is a scam, please email us at: employmentscamreporting@peacehealth.org. More information on these scams can be found here. Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) | Fake Job Listings: https://ow.ly/F8Wr50Rz3N1. The good news?
