Starting today, the SBA is offering its 7(a) Working Capital Pilot Program for lenders and borrowers alike that makes government-backed lines of credit available for up to $5MM. Under the program, credit lines below $150K have an 85% guaranty, while those at $150K and above have a 75% guaranty. As community financial institutions seek to strengthen ties to existing small business customers and attract additional ones, they may want to consider participating in the SBA’s new capital program or helping customers access it. With over 8.5 million Windows devices affected, the disruption highlighted the essential need for robust BCPs and DRPs for all organizations. 🛡️ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: • 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 The outage caused widespread issues, from aviation chaos to banking disruptions, showing the importance of having solid contingency plans in place. • 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 Establish multiple communication channels to ensure information can be disseminated quickly. • 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆! Implement redundancy for critical systems and processes to avoid single points of failure. Including, backup systems, alternative workflows, and contingency service providers. In this recent incident, PCBB was up and running ahead of many other companies which allowed us serve as a contingency backup for processing domestic and foreign payments on behalf of our customers.
