PBS Wisconsin is looking for a creative Video Promo Producer & Editor to join our small, talented, versatile team that creates short form :15, :30 and :60 second spots for our on-air stations, digital, and social media platforms, like Instagram and Facebook. Tasks include taking an idea from concept to finished piece, research, planning and scheduling of production locations, shooting video/recording audio, brainstorming, drafting scripts, editing, creating 2D and 3D graphics and animations, and file distribution. Several projects may be in various stages of completion at once. A successful Video Promo Producer & Editor has excellent verbal and written communication skills and works well with diverse groups of people utilizing an open mind to all ideas. The need for customer service skills and attention to detail are a must. This person must be able to coordinate/schedule workflow efficiently, have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/departmental demands simultaneously, and the ability to perform under tight deadlines; either solo or with a team. The Early Learning Manager is a new position created to help the PBS Wisconsin Education team scale early learning programs that combine the strengths of our successful work activating national Ready to Learn resources from PBS KIDS with statewide early learning initiatives and priorities through train-the-trainer models developed by our talented team. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing and scaling projects with ambitious goals. They also have experience supervising high-performing staff to create professional learning experiences that meet the needs of caring adults working with early learners (early childhood educators, childcare providers, early learning programs, parents and caregivers, librarians, and multi-generational family units), especially in high-need and under-resourced communities. As an Education Producer, you will develop and produce classroom media for upper elementary and middle school science, social studies, local history and culture, and English Language Arts studies. This may include identifying topics, themes, and/or learning goals, conducting research, writing scripts, interviewing guests, or directing hosts. This position primarily produces in video format, but may also produce interactives, animations, and educational text supports. We are looking to fill two Education Producer positions.
