About us

- Parkinson Voice Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the speech and communication of individuals with Parkinson’s and related neurological disorders through continuous speech therapy, follow-up support, research, education, and community awareness. - 90% of people with Parkinson’s are at risk of developing a weak voice that can lead to serious speech and swallowing difficulties. Parkinson Voice Project has developed an effective program that combines education, individual speech therapy (SPEAK OUT!). - Parkinson Voice Project is funded entirely through donations and the Pay It Forward concept. In other words, insurance is not billed, and patients are not charged for speech therapy. At the end of treatment, patients are asked to make a donation – Pay It Forward – to help the next patient receive therapy. - Since not all patients can travel to Parkinson Voice Project’s speech therapy clinic in Richardson, TX, the organization offers online SPEAK OUT! & LOUD Crowd Training to speech-language pathologists around the world. - If you would like more information or want to know how you can foster a life of INTENT, visit our website at www.parkinsonvoiceproject.org.
