This week's featured plant is Lavender (Lavandula) Beyond its aesthetic appeal and delightful fragrance, lavender serves multiple roles in the landscape. Thriving in sunny, well-drained conditions, it's well-suited for garden borders and rock gardens, needing minimal water once established. The silvery-gray foliage of lavender adds texture and contrast to greenery and flowers, enhancing the overall landscape. Ecologically, lavender attracts beneficial insects like bees and butterflies when in bloom, supporting local ecosystems and biodiversity. Lavender encompasses diverse species and cultivars, including English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), French lavender (Lavandula stoechas), and Spanish lavender (Lavandula stoechas subspecies), each adapted to different landscape settings. Predominantly perennial, lavender can thrive for years under the right conditions, offering sustainable beauty and ecological benefits to landscapes.

✨Transformation Thursday! ✨Our team worked hard to create a beautiful amenity area, which was once part of the parking lot next to the building. It features drought tolerant shrubs and perennials such as: Coreopsis 'Moonbeam', Crape Myrtle, Miscanthus 'Morning light', Liriope 'Big Blue', and Hydrangea 'Limelight'. The space gets plenty of sun & reflective heat, so picking out plants that could tolerate the heat off the building and parking lot was important. The employees now have a place to sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful summer weather! What do you think of the transformation? Let us know in the comments! ⬇️ #Landscaping #BeforeAndAfter #Transformation #CommercialProperty #LandscapingDesign #Amenityarea #teamorange
