For this month's employee spotlight, we're thrilled to recognize Dara Wilson Sentous! Dara has been a part of the Overhaul team since December 2021, starting as a Customer Support Specialist and quickly being promoted to Solutions Consultant in January 2024. As a Solutions Consultant, Dara is responsible for planning and building solutions for our customers' needs, as well as training new customers on the Overhaul platform so they can create and monitor their shipments. When asked about her mentor, Dara mentioned George Wheeler Jr, who has guided her into this new role and continuously supports her every day. She also mentioned Mary Kelledy, who helped her obtain her Certificate in Supply Chain Management. In terms of travel, Dara's favorite place so far has been Morocco, where she traveled through the Atlas Mountains to the vast Sahara Desert, meeting tribes that live in these regions and experiencing new customs and trying local foods. Thank you Dara for taking Overhaul's logistics expertise to new destinations and helping our customers navigate the complexities of shipping with ease!

"We are continuing to see an increase in not just just volume, but geographic spread of virtually every type of cargo theft that there is. I don’t think that there’s ever been a time in the industry that we’ve been charting an increase across so many different types of theft.” - Danny Ramon, Overhaul's Director of Intelligence and LE Connect Read more about what Danny had to say regarding the rise in cargo theft from the blog below by Transport Topics. #CargoTheft #SupplyChainSecurity #RiskManagement #CargoSafety #CargoSecurity https://lnkd.in/gSK62Ess

A global IT outage is causing major disruptions across multiple industries. Overhaul forecasts a slowdown in ports and a spike in bottlenecks. Increased confusion will open up even more risk within the supply chain, and as shipments come to a standstill, crime will escalate, as freight at rest is freight at risk. Overhaul will continue to monitor this situation as it develops. Sign up for our Intel alerts to stay informed: https://lnkd.in/ed6t-CH8 #outage #cybersecurity

The Overhaul Mexico team has twice as many reasons to celebrate after helping a company successfully recover two stolen loads. The first load, which consisted of two high-value containers, was stolen on July 9 on the Mexico-Querétaro Highway (MEX-57). By constantly sharing the shipment's location with authorities, MSOC was able to aid in its return. The second recovery took place on July 13 and once more involved a high-value shipment with two containers. After stopping on the Atlacomulco-Guadalajara highway (MEX-15D) due to a mechanical issue, the driver and escort were taken hostage by the criminals. The MSOC, Intelligence team, Municipal Police, State Police, and National Guard all worked together to successfully pursue and apprehend the criminals. Unfortunately, the driver and escort remain missing, highlighting the violence among criminal groups in the area. The Overhaul Mexico team has helped this company reduce financial losses from theft by 90%. We're confident our connections with local authorities will continue to support them and our other customers. While organized cargo theft continues to rise, here's a win for the good guys. Overhaul supported the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino Police Department in a recent investigation that led to major arrests in auto theft and drug trafficking. Our team worked closely with BNSF Railway security leads and law enforcement agencies to recover products for multiple customers. While prevention is always the goal, a recovery and subsequent arrests of those involved is a testament to our dedication to providing world-leading supply chain risk management solutions to our customers. Cargo crime doesn't only harm the industry, it can also potentially fuel other criminal operations. We are proud to have played a role in this important investigation and will continue to work closely with law enforcement agencies around the world to ensure the safety and security of our customers' cargo. Thank you to BNSF, CHP, and the San Bernardino PD for their partnership and hard work in this case. Click here to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eNm5d8p9 Experiencing theft in your supply chain?
