    Don't be afraid to get super specific in your search when sourcing talent. Instead of posting a job and filtering through countless applicants, start by defining the exact experience and skills required for the role. Align with your team to avoid wasting time on recalibrating later. Identify a targeted list of the top 10, then 50, then 100 people to reach out to. If you find yourself reaching out to hundreds of candidates, you may have cast the net too wide and risk spending too much time on outreach without seeing the desired results. 👉 Start narrow, then go wide. #sourcingtips #talentacquisition #techhiring

    The US economy added 272,000 jobs in May A healthy increase from 165,000 revised jobs added in April and exceeding expectations of 185,000 Increases last month were seen across several sectors: 📈 healthcare 📈 government 📈 leisure & hospitality 📈 food services 📈 professional, scientific, & technical services 📈 social assistance 📈 retail ---- OutScout take 💬 May showed a higher gain than the 12 month average gain (232k) and a reversal from April's downward revised number of 165k. These numbers challenge a "resilient but softening" trend and may reduce hopes of interest rate easing later this year. Many hiring managers may not have a clear idea of what they are/not looking for until they see it, which can lead to increased time-to-fill metrics and frustrated candidates. To avoid this, follow these steps: 1. Do a quick search based on hiring constraints and skills needed 2. Pick 3-5 profiles that look to be a good fit, ensuring you include a bit of variety while staying within your search parameters 3. Schedule time to walk through them with the hiring manager/team 4. Note their likes and dislikes and reasoning 5.
