About us

Our Stomping Ground is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities to live meaningful lives outside of their family or a group home. We partner with affordable housing developers for units with a leasing preference and we offer vocational, educational, social, and therapeutic programming to residents, non-residents, and allies. In allowing all community members to participate in programming, we are building inclusive and understanding communities from which everyone benefits.

We believe that every individual's unique mind is a vital part of what makes up any community. Embracing neurodiversity means recognizing and celebrating the different ways people think, learn, and interact with the world. Just as biodiversity strengthens ecosystems, neurodiversity enriches our human experience, fostering innovation, empathy, and resilience. Join us as we continue creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s talents and perspectives are valued and where every form of wiring can thrive. Skills such as visual thinking, meticulous attention to detail, pattern recognition, visual memory, and creative thinking can reveal ideas or opportunities that teams might otherwise overlook.
